Biography
Nicole O’ Donnell (b.1997) is an Irish artist based in Galway, she is a graduate with an Masters in Creative Practice and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Art from the School of Design and Creative Arts, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, Galway 2016/2021.
While regarding painting as her main medium, she also utilises drawing and photography in her work. Nicole is influenced by the raw wilderness of the Irish landscape and the natural world to create fantastical landscapes, inspired by the endless complexity found in nature.
In 2020, Nicole took part in a group exhibition ‘Not A Degree Show’ in the heart of Galway city at the old Connacht Tribune and in 2021 and 2020 ‘Incognito’ a public Arts exhibition to raise funds for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.
In 2019, Nicole took part in the exhibition “Coast” a survey of work of Third year students from CCAM and in 2018 she was a awarded a special commendation for her entry “100% Unethical” in the Green Campus Awards art competition.
