I am Joe Hawkins, a Graphic Designer with a passion in Logo Design and Branding. My work shared is early project work I completed in my time at ATU. The work consists of projects such as Corporate Identity (Iconic Kickboxing), Boutique Hotel Branding (The E-Squared Hotel) and a Studio Photography project.


By Joe Hawkins. The Project was to create an Identity for a business. We had a choice of a number of businesses in which to specialize in and I chose a wellness centre, more specifically a kickboxing gym which I named as “Iconic Kickboxing”. The work involved logo design, mock ups and applications.

By Joe Hawkins. For this project I used studio photography to capture an image of an object that would be used to create a poster to promote that object and I chose a laptop. I researched past advertisement for MacBooks in terms of where name and brand are placed in their poster design. My idea was to black out the room and use the lighting of the laptop as the light source. The mac symbol is highlighted in the centre of the image while the screen illuminating the background helps highlight the edges and form of the laptop.

By Joe Hawkins. This project was the branding of a boutique hotel. I located the hotel in Eyre Square, Galway and named it “The E-Squared Hotel”. The project involved the designing of a logo, mock ups including stationary, image styles and applications.
