Artist Statement
Piece 1: Infographic
Dimensions: 429mm x 225mm
This is an infographic that I designed to introduce and explain my project. The aim was to tell a story of what my project is about and why there is a need for it.
Piece 2: Cannabas Packaging
Dimensions: A3 landscape
I designed labels for a THC oil, bud and pre rolls for the sativa, hybrid and indica strains. Each colour represents the strain and this packaging is used for the products on the Cannabas website.
Piece 3: Cannabas Website
Dimensions: A3 landscape
I designed a website prototype for Cannabas which includes a shop, a learn section, a contact us and a map. I have included 4 pages to showcase the style and user focused nature of my design.
Biography
My name is Jade Dwyer and my final year graphic design project focuses on the legalisation of recreational cannabis in Ireland. Cannabis is currently illegal and criminalised in Ireland and my project consists of a study of the social benefits that can be achieved with legalisation, based off research of Canada and some American states. I have developed a brand, Cannabas, which is Ireland’s first legal cannabis dispensary. I have utilised my graphic design skills to design a working prototype of a website for the brand and packaging for some Cannabas products.
